The BCE Practioner’s World February 10, 2009

Posted by Chris Y in : Updates , trackback

In January 2009, the project invited two local BCE practitioners to discuss their work and explore how the BCE Programme activity might connect with it at the Advisory Services Cross-projects meeting in Glasgow.

Laura Tyler (Laura Tyler, Marketing Manager, Business Development, University of Glasgow) and Dr Stephen Armstrong (Head of Research Development Service, University of Strathclyde) both gave excellent, informal presentations about the type of work they do as individuals and how that fits in to the engagement agendas of two different academic institutions.

The presentations were followed by a question and answer session which enabled both sides to discuss how their activities it fits in with strategies at an institutional, national and international level. In particular the session highlighted some of the differences for Scottish institutions with respect to central funding and metrics for BCE activity.
